These are suggested scripture based prayers that need to be prayed over this event by those who have an understanding of the power of prayer.
This is long, but it can be broken up in to topics, praying for one topic each day or possibly focusing on one topic that is significant to you - however the Holy Spirit leads you. Of course the prayers are only guidelines to help get you started.

Prayer Points for the New Jackson Worship Explosion meeting 5.30.09:
Our main point of prayer will be to invite God to come and be in our midst on May 30th to touch the hearts of those attending with a wonderful taste of His presence. We continue to "woo God, not people".
PRAYER:
Father God, we love You so much because of Your great and faithful love for us. Thank You for giving us the privilege and opportunity to be a blessing to Jackson and Jackson County. We know that Jackson is becoming a hub of light and blessing to all of Michigan, Father, and it is by Your grace, mercy and great love for Your people, Lord. Jackson is a center of peace, prosperity and Your lovingkindness and You are drawing us to Yourself. Lord, we invite You and welcome You to show Yourself strong on behalf of the community of Jackson. We need You desperately, Father, and we acknowledge that You are our only Hope. On behalf of all the hurting, desperate ones in Jackson, we call upon Your mercy, Your goodness and Your compassion. Thank You that the work of reconciliation was finished at the cross. We're leaning on You, God and trusting You.

Upcoming Event Facility: Dungy Field @ Jackson High School has a long history of community involvement, family fun and athletic excellence, Lord. We pronounce Your continued blessing on this facility and declare that our Worship Explosion meeting will be a source of blessing. We see Your presence permeating the entire facility. Help us to show forth Your love and joy and to be worthy representatives of You and Your Kingdom. Bless all the equipment that we will be using and also that we will be bringing in. Bless the workers and the set up crews. Thank You for Your wisdom, helping us create an efficient and workable plan for the set up and tear down. Give us insight and foresight, Father. We love You and we know that You go before us to make our paths straight and that our steps are ordered by You. Thank You for all the helpers that are coming around us, Lord.
We ask Your continued blessings on the Michigan Theater, Lord. Father we know that You see the Michigan Theater becoming a hub of godly activity for downtown Jackson and the rest of the community and that as that happens, Lord, Dennis and the theater will prosper. Lord, we are grateful for the Michigan Theater and for Dennis. Thanks for all the joy that's been poured out on the people of Jackson over its history. Thank You for the craftsmanship of the decorations. Thank You that it is being restored faithfully and lovingly by the community. Thank You for making it available to us. Thank You that as we bring our meeting there we will be making a positive impact on the building itself and bring Your light and truth to the atmosphere.
Lord, we continue to bless City of Zion: The City of Zion church building near the corner of Wilkins and South Jackson is a beacon of light to the surrounding community and to all who pass by. Thank You, Father, that You have angels stationed at every corner of this facility and the property it sits on, protecting it. We speak life and light and protection to every part of it - the plumbing, the wiring, the foundation, the windows, the furnishings, and particularly the sound system - that it would declare, with a pleasing sound, salvation and praise and Your glory and power. Thank You, Lord, that Your peace rules there and the sense of peace and Your glory permeate every square inch and surround and touch all who enter there. Show us how to be a blessing to the body that meets there. Thank You that You go before us to make our way smooth and You help us around any hindrances that the defeated one tries to put before us.
The Assembly in downtown Jackson also has been a blessing to us (home of the first New Jackson event) and we ask Your favor and continued blessing on that congregation, Lord.
God, thank You for the pastors (see list below) that participated in our previous meetings and those who are surrounding us now. Send them special blessings for their vision of unity, Lord, and give them strength to continue working toward that goal that You set for us in John 17. Help them spread the word to other pastors and give them support for this idea within their congregations. May we have many more participating this May. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank You, Father.

Community: Thank You, Father, that You are making us a witness to Your love, joy and peace and as that happens the leadership of the community will be more and more drawn to look to the Church as a partner in helping make Jackson an enthusiastic, prosperous and welcoming community. Father, draw us all together to declare Your Goodness to the city and county of Jackson - believers and unbelievers alike. Thank You, Father, that it is You working in our hearts to bring about unity and transformation and that You have a good plan for Jackson and You are communicating it to Your people. We are obedient to Your calling to come together to declare Your goodness and power so that unbelievers will see more Love in the Church and be drawn to Her joy and Your peace and presence. We see the walls of separation crumbling.
Youth: Thank You, Father that You are drawing the young people to become involved in transformation. Help us to minister peace, hope and joy to them so they can pass it on to their peers. Thank You that You are making connections between us and the youth that You want to be involved in this event and You are making them hungry for more of You. You are making us willing and giving us the ability to help them.
Music: Lord, we also give the music leadership in to Your hands. Thank You for putting us together with James and his willingness to tackle this assignment. We trust You to give him favor with musicians and other worship leaders around the community. We see You bringing unity to the worshipers and that these meetings would minister life, joy, peace, and a holy looseness to them. We want to see them have fun while exalting You. Also, thank You that you bring helpers alongside him. Cause Bill to be a blessing and an encourager to James, Lord. Knit the hearts of all the worshipers together and with Your heart, Father.
Trooper Larry Rothman: [director of Adopt-a-Cop prayer ministry] God, thank You so much for Larry and the heart you've given him for our community and the opportunity and favor You've given him. Help us be a blessing to him in every way we can and bless his ears to hear clearly what You would have him do and say at this meeting in May. Thank You that You give Your angels charge over him to keep him in all his ways and that he leans not to his own understanding but in all his ways he acknowledges You and You direct his path.
Adopt-A-Cop: Father, this is Your project and we are honored and privileged to be involved in it. You are our faithfulness and faith, Lord. Thank You that You are changing our hearts toward the peacekeepers who serve our community. Thank You that we can help spread that new attitude and that it will reflect back on them for their increased well being. You have set them in authority over us and we pray for them so that we might live in peace and the Kingdom will increase in their midst and in our community. Thank You for their willingness to serve.
