outdoor worship gathering on May 16, 2006 32 people and 4 pastors attended.
Note the BOLD text - that is where the beginning of this current Jackson transformation movement began.
[Kathy's recap notes] Our first "taking it to the streets" public park praise gathering was this Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Loomis Park and was very successful. A maintenance man named "Phil" warmly welcomed us to the park. We noticed that the senior citizens come to play bingo every Tuesday at 12:30. Also, lots of traffic going by on Ganson - a big Wellspring banner is needed. Our friend, Prophet Bob Griffin, called and canceled - some may have come because they heard he was going to be there, but everyone participated and seemed to be enjoying themselves and the Lord. A word was spoken about if we go to the four corners of Jackson with this praise and worship, God will open up the region to His move. Also, Carol Andersen gave me a word about being blessed financially. Linda DiBiosso prayed for our PraiseToys.com ministry. Praising God in the open was His idea and He confirmed it today. The love and energy was amazing. Pastor Dick Blank opened and closed with a hymn on his saxaphone: My Hiding Place and then Amazing Grace to close. [note: Wellspring Praise continued to do outdoor spontaneaous praise for the next two summers in as many parks as possible throughout Jackson] To open the praise gathering and to pray for Bob Griffin's eye problem I was reading Isaiah 58:8 out loud to the praise worshippers gathered around: "Thy light shall break forth as the morning, and thy health shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go before thee: the glory of the Lord shall be thy rear guard." Just as I was reading "Thy light shall break forth", - I mean at that exact moment - the sun broke through the clouds and a narrow shaft of light shone right on my face and the Bible in my hands! Everybody there saw it and were rejoicing with amazement. Even more, earlier, on the way over to the park, I asked God to confirm His word with signs and wonders so we would all know that we are doing what He wants. He is so faithful and good to us! This morning I got the Christmas song "Angels From the Realms of Glory" stuck in my head at 5:00 a.m. and I couldn't get back to sleep because of it. The chorus says "Come and worship, come and worship, worship Christ the Newborn King."
I was talking to the Lord about what is He trying to say to me with this song. He said, "Jesus is the newborn King of Jackson".
For years we've had plenty of religion in Jackson, but now, with the recent New Jackson attitude and movement, the King has shown up and He's going to grow and grow.
Faith is growing, Kindness is growing, Love is growing, Peace is growing, Joy is growing, Hope is growing, the Word is growing, Light is growing, Goodness is growing, Prosperity is growing, Beauty is growing, Confidence is growing, Grace is growing, Freedom is growing, Understanding of the Father heart of God is growing, the Kingdom is growing...

Our
heart and mission for this event is to come together as one body for
the cause of The Kingdom of God. We are already beginning to see the
Lord move in New Jackson in ways that we’ve hoped, prayed, envisioned,
cried out and longed for, for many years. The body of Christ is
awakening to the call of The King. He is stroking the flames of
passion in our hearts for His desires, and He has come to make this
city, county, region, and state, His habitation.
Has He forced
His way into the region? Certainly not. God is God, and He can do
what He wants, but He is a living, breathing person who wants to be
invited in to the bedchamber with His bride so that the two can become
one. For it is in that place of “oneness” that life is released. When
His life is released, the atmosphere is charged with the DNA of God
(Divine Nature of the Almighty), and that DNA transforms whatever it
touches.
How is He invited in? He is wooed by a force that lies
within the depths of the heart of His people. It’s a force that is not
visible to the naked eye, nor is it something that can be packaged up,
bought and sold to the highest bidder. There’s no Luke Skywalker
holding a light saber saying, “the force be with you.” NO!
This
force, in its purest form, is the mating call for and of the God of the
Universe. It’s a force that a teenage shepherd boy in ancient Israel
understood and possessed in his brave heart. It was this force that
positioned and guided him in life, till eventually he became a king.
This force also compelled another King to leave His Kingdom so that He could become a shepherd.
May this force compel you to woo the One who has the power to transform our region.
What is this force?
Passion.Passionate love.Passionate praise.Passionate worship.Our passionate worshipbeing released to the One whoheld nothing back, but gave His all for usso that we could become what He intended us to be.

“Watch and see as the glory of the Lord comes down
and this city is turned upside down for God.
Watch and see.”
Then I saw our worship going up like a fountain and spraying out over the area. I heard the Lord say it was showers of blessings for the city.
I know that something really big took place today in the unseen realms that are going to affect the seen realms of this community, and the kingdom of God is making a habitation for Himself in this place.
Truly the old waste places being restored, like Isaiah talks about, is coming to pass here in this city. We WILL see this place no longer being known as the city with the world’s largest walled prison, but as the city that God resides in. Watch and see. Watch and see. Watch and see as the glory of the Lord comes down and the city is turned upside down for God. Watch and see.

"Praise in the Park" changing city (Jackson)

As the drums started beating louder, I was drawn to them. I walked up to the drummers and I felt the Lord saying that with every beat of the drum He was going to set a captive free.
God is really doing something in the city of Jackson.
